It’s official, we’ve now moved into our new home — the LOVE Building!
The LOVE Building is located at 4731 Grand River in the Core City neighborhood of Detroit. Its mission is to amplify social justice organizing, nurture creativity, and provide a community space that is inspiring, accessible, and responsive. At the LOVE Building we also highly value intergenerational wisdom, community accountability, environmental responsibility, and place-keeping.
The cozy community space that’s nestled on the city’s west side is also the home of Allied Media Projects, Detroit Disability Power, the Detroit Community Technology Project, Detroit Narrative Agency, and Paradise Natural Foods.Though our individual missions vary, we share a vision of cultivating liberation, justice, and joy for all Detroiters.
Across its five floors, the LOVE Building will be a hub for community and creative projects, health and wellness classes, resources for Detroit residents, events, and legal resources — as well as being one of the city’s most accessible buildings. We’re so grateful to our broad base of supporters, from grassroots individual donors to foundations like the McGregor Fund, for helping us bring this space to life.
