As the Detroit Justice Center kicks off the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Business Drive, we celebrate and uplift the resilience of Black liberation, especially Detroiters who are reshaping the narrative of our communities. Rather than succumbing to decades of intentional displacement and predatory lending, our neighbors are creating alternative solutions to build their own power!
Our communities don’t need to be “rediscovered” by gentrifiers to thrive, we need the freedom and access to transform them ourselves.
