Grace is a Paralegal with the Legal Services and Advocacy practice. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in History and Urban Studies. While at UofM, Grace worked as a research assistant with the Carceral State Project, an initiative that addresses mass incarceration, policing, and immigrant detention through historical and sociological research, art, and storytelling. In doing this work, Grace executed research with the Documenting Criminalization and Confinement team, tracking patterns of police violence in post-WWII era Detroit. Grace is a former intern with DJC where they helped to support the Just Cities Lab and the development of the Metro Detroit Restorative Justice Network (MDRJN).
