Cidney Calloway is a native Detroiter and alumnae of the Detroit School of Arts. She has an extensive background in organizational and administrative work and is grateful for this opportunity to use those skills for the betterment of her community. As an activist, Cidney was selected to be a fellow with the Movement 4 Black Lives twice during the summer and fall of 2020.
Before joining the Detroit Justice Center, she was tasked with establishing an alternative academy for the Detroit Public Schools Community District where she curated a culture that proved effective for students who needed nurturing. Over the 5 years with the school, she ensured that the families of these students were provided wrap-around services and resources outside of the school building.
With a full and humble heart, Cidney aims to bring joy and hope to all who come to DJC. She is solely dedicated to providing the utmost support to clients and staff.
