Barakah Sanders was an extern at DJC while he was pursuing an MSW at the University of Michigan, and was a beloved member of the team. Since completing his degree, he is now a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan School of Information doing work related to incarcerated people and returning citizens with special emphasis on current and former juvenile lifers without parole. He also has extensive experience as a paralegal and legal assistant.
