Triniti Watson is a Black writer and memory worker rooted in Detroit, MI. She also serves as a Resource Mobilizer at the Detroit Justice Center.

Per the Wealth Reclamation Academy of Practitioners (WRAP), a Resource Mobilizer is an individual who specializes in cultivating critical relationships and stewarding the flow of assets back into social justice movements. Triniti implements this role at DJC by organizing internal staff, donors, community partners, and other stakeholders to secure the social and material capital needed to sustain DJC’s mission towards a just city. Such work is guided by the Just Transition, a framework that invities communities to reimagine the resourcing of movements through wealth reclamation and the natural abundance of interconnected relationships between people and the Earth. Through this work, Triniti honors her commitment to Detroit and its beloved community.

Alongside DJC, Triniti is involved in fellow Detroit movement spaces including the Grace and James Lee Boggs Center, the Detroit Equity Action Lab, and DJC’s Metro-Detroit Restorative Justice Network (MDRJN). Beyond her labor, she enjoys writing poetry, collaging, and sitting by the Detroit River.
