Glennisha Morgan is the Communications Manager at the Detroit Justice Center. Prior to joining DJC, Glennisha was the Urban Digital Content Editor of Beasley Media. Glennisha is a Detroit-bred editor, writer, journalist, and photographer. Her writing has appeared in a myriad of publications, including New York Magazine, Huff Post, Ebony, Vibe, Bustle, Autostraddle, and Hot New Hip Hop. She covers numerous topics including, race, queer issues, entertainment, feminism, business, social justice, and her truth.

As a photographer, Glennisha has shot everything from family photos to the civil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri. Glennisha’s photography has been featured in The Fader and the International Women Art Exhibit at the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit. Forever an educator, Glennisha has taught high school English Language Arts in Greater Boston. She received her B.A. from The New School.
