FREE AMERICA recently featured the Detroit Justice Center in its #UnlockedFutures video series. The series showcases the work of eight entrepreneurs whose experiences with the criminal justice system fueled their path to entrepreneurship and a dedication to giving back to their communities. DJC’s Founder and Executive Director, Amanda Alexander, was selected for the inaugural Unlocked Futures Accelerator cohort last fall. The 16-month accelerator is a partnership between New Profit and singer John Legend’s FREE AMERICA, and provides a one-time unrestricted grant and capacity-building support.
