Jasmine is the Leadership Gift Officer at the Detroit Justice Center. Prior to joining DJC, Jasmine worked at several organizations across the state supporting survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Growing tired of constantly seeing systematic barriers directly impact her clients, Jasmine transitioned to fund development. In her most recent role as Marketing & Development Manager at HAVEN, it allowed her to continue advocating for survivors and collaborate with funders to determine how to leverage their financial gifts to eliminate as many of those barriers as possible.
She earned her B.A.A. from Central Michigan University (FIRE UP CHIPS!) where she majored in Integrative Public Relations, minoring in Public Affairs & Apparel Merchandising & Design. While in undergrad, Jasmine served as a Sexual Aggression Peer Advocate (SAPA), operating a 24/7 crisis line to provide aid & resources for survivors, on and off-campus; she also presented at the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) 2014 conference, sharing how universities and colleges can successfully create student-operated advocacy groups.
Jasmine is a lover of any dog within reach, a mentor with the Women of Tomorrow, a member of the Future Leaders of HOPE and a recipient of the 2021 Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Millennial Award.
