flyer for book discussion of unraveling harm, cultivating safety
Join us for a discussion on safety, harm, accountability, repair, healing, justice, policing and the many contradictions we encounter along the way.

đź—“ Friday, April 3 at 6:30 – 8:00 PM

📍James and Grace Lee Boggs Center to Nurture Community Leadership | 3061 Field St, Detroit, MI

🎛 PRE-EVENT. Join us @ 3-6 PM for The Critical Mix Series: an immersive listening experience in the Gallery of Revolution feat. @saylemceleste in response to Carceral Fictions & Abolitionist Realities @makingroom.online

Our conversation will build on findings from a recent research study commissioned by the Metro Detroit Restorative Justice Network and @detroitjusticecenter exploring these themes with Metro Detroiters. Free copies of the book containing these findings — Unraveling Harm, Cultivating Safety: Learnings on Healing, Justice, and Accountability from Metro Detroiters — will be available at the event while supplies last. The book’s authors will share findings from the research and invite attendees into conversation around the many contradictions that emerge when we consider what it takes to cultivate safety and address harm in today’s world as we practice new worlds together.
