We’re celebrating our 5th Anniversary on August 24th from 6-9pm at The Eastern in Eastern Market!

Join us as we honor the achievements we’ve made together over the last 5 years. This special evening will be filled with good food, dancing, a silent auction and a special installation by saylem celeste, DJC’s 2023 Artist in Residence.

You’ll have a chance to connect with our staff, learn about the impact we’re making, and see for yourself exactly how we’re advancing the fight for freedom in Detroit.

This is going to be a sellout event, so purchase your tickets today to reserve your spot!

For a limited time, we’re offering a special chance to join our Freedom Dream Sustainers program! Spend $150 or more on tickets and you’ll automatically become a member and receive a VIP tour of our new headquarters, the LOVE Building, this fall!

COVID-19 precautions: We have your safety in mind as the pandemic continues. The event will take place indoors but will also have an outdoor space with plenty of distance to minimize risks as much as possible. Masks are encouraged, but not required, to keep everyone healthy.
