DESCRIPTION:If you work in a field within the ecosystem of mental health/ behavior health\, harm reduction\, and substance use (in Detroit/ Wayne County)\, please join us for a Partner Convening! \nOur two day event is a collaboration of the Detroit Justice Center; Michigan Liberation; ANSWER Detroit; Free People\, Free People; Moratorium Now; and other partners.  \nOur freedom dreams for this convening is to cultivate a C.A.R.E.S. philosophy and collaborative space\, focusing on Creating Alternatives that Reimagine\, Empower and Strengthen mental wellness and safety in Detroit. The program will feature panel discussions\, a breakout group strategy session\, and a data gallery walk — all designed to support our goal to bridge connections\, establish and improve non-carceral responses to mental health\, substance use recovery and harm reduction for Detroiters. \nWednesday\, December 11th (4:00pm-7:00pm)\n& Thursday\, December 12th (8:30am-5:00pm) \nAttendance is requested for both days. \nFree parking\, licensed childcare and healthy meals are included! \nRSVP HERE!

Join us to learn about local harm reduction efforts helping to keep communities safe in Detroit and beyond! \nThis community is thoughtfully designed for advocates and practitioners actively engaged in efforts related to community violence intervention\, police accountability/ ending police harm\, restorative justice\, alternative emergency response\, re-entry\, and other innovative approaches to enhance public safety and prevent incarceration in Michigan. \nPlease complete the registration form to become a part of this dynamic learning community.
